EAST FISHKILL, N.Y. – Harriet L. Stokosa, a resident of Hopewell Junction, died Sunday, July 11. She was 70.

She was a dedicated elementary teacher in the Wappingers Central School District for over 30 years, teaching at both Brinkerhoff and James S. Evans Elementary Schools.

She was passionate about making a difference in her students’ lives. Soon after her retirement, she and her family moved to Murrells Inlet, SC, where they lived for 10 years.
